Flagship Food Group’s North America division, headquartered in Meridian, Idaho, won the prestigious 2015 Innovation Award at Walmart’s annual vendor summit. Flagship beat out big names like Keurig and Apple at this year’s summit, which took place in Orlando, Florida on February 4, 2015.

“We are honored and particularly humbled to receive an award of this caliber,” said Flagship North America CEO Gary Lim. “Delivering the goals for Walmart nationwide was a combined effort across the entire Flagship team.”

Flagship Food Group, which provides both branded and private label products to Walmart, was recognized as the top company across all Walmart Suppliers for Innovation. Flagship won the award for their innovative, comprehensive program that includes new product development, managing relationships, and successful program execution.

First and foremost, Flagship Food Group is passionate about good food. Founded in 1995 as Treasure Valley Food Group in Boise, the company sold in 2008 to a private equity group that specialized in food companies. In 2011, the company combined all entities in their equity portfolio to become Flagship Food Group. Today, Meridian remains the headquarters for Flagship’s North American division.

Flagship’s branded and private label foods are sold in over 30,000 stores across the national, local, independent, and natural grocery landscape.
