Hackfort 2 to Spotlight, Support Growing Boise Tech Community

On the heels of a successful inaugural event, Hackfort returns with an expanded program to highlight Boise’s burgeoning technology industry and attract talent to the region. Hackfort 2 is a hybrid technology conference that not only features speakers and panels covering progressive tech issues, but showcases Boise’s tech community with several networking events and even a collaborative hackathon. As the technology limb of the 2015 Treefort Music Fest, Hackfort 2 will occur March 26 to 28 at The Owyhee in downtown Boise.

This year’s event features business and technology leaders from an array of industries. The thoughtleaders and trailblazers confirmed to attend, speak, and participate in Hackfort 2 include:

In an effort to attract top developer talent to the region, Hackfort is playing the role of liaison and cultural ambassador, connecting prospects to the Boise technology community and local companies. Developers from around the country have applied for Hackfortprovided subsidized trips that cover accommodations, Treefort wristbands, and even food and beer.

Hackfort 2 aims to solidify its place as a vital recruitment and community building event for the tech environment in Boise, and it isn’t just Idahoans that are enthusiastic. President Obama recently mentioned Hackfort in his speech at Boise State University as a tool Boise boasts to increase knowledge sharing and promote the development of its technology community.
