Nampa Entrepreneurs Organization (NEO), an organization that inspires to engage entrepreneurs to learn and grow by offering valuable resources will host its 1st Entrepreneur Networking “Kick-off” event Wednesday, April 8, between 4 and 6 p.m. in Downtown Nampa.  The event will be held at 113 13th Ave. S. at “The Dewey.”  The Dewey is a new business that will have just opened within the space formerly occupied by the Hop House.

NEO will provide overall business support in the form of networking and educational events, mentoring programs, technical assistance and resource identification.

The premier event will feature a “Taste of Downtown Nampa,” with free food and drinks sponsored by Flying M Coffeegarage, Messenger Pizza & Brewery, Brick 29, Whiskey River, The Dewey, and Hong Kong Restaurant.  Other foods will be provided by Italian-to-Go and Sweet Hope.

The evening will be an opportunity to network, eat, drink, learn more about NEO, and gain innovative ideas and knowledge by listening to guest speakers share their entrepreneurial success stories.  It will be a night of fun collaboration with other industry professionals, according to organizer Will Fowler of the BSU TECenter, and Beth Ineck, city of Nampa Economic Development director.

Speakers include: Darlene Johnson (owner of Darlene’s Printing in Nampa and Realtor for Happy Dog Realty), along with Travis Swartz (actor, comedian and freelance video producer).

The Nampa Economic Development Department is working with the BSU TECcenter to energize new and want-to-be entrepreneurs who want a place to network and develop skills, Robin Collins, assistant Economic Development director said.  Several key stakeholders and resource providers are assisting in the formation of this new organization.
