River City Coffee & Cafe to Open at the Boise Airport
Delaware North is partnering with River City Coffee & Cafe to open at the Boise Airport on Monday, March 7 in the space formerly occupied by Big City Coffee. The concession will serve fresh pastries, baked goods, sandwiches, wraps and coffee.
"River City Coffee & Cafe is excited to be featured as a local partner of the Boise Airport. From our coffee roasted in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to our daily scratch made pastries, we're confident that River City Coffee will be a great addition to the Boise Airport," said Nick Stinemates, General Manager of River City Coffee & Cafe. "We are delighted to share our shop by the Boise River with passengers visiting Boise for the first time and those returning home."
River City Coffee has been in business for nearly 10 years at their local storefront located on State Street in Boise. The airport coffee shop will be managed by Delaware North who entered into a license agreement with River City Coffee in early 2016.
"As someone who eats at the Boise Airport multiple times per week, I'm excited to welcome River City Coffee to the airport and look forward to their offerings," said Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport Director. "Passenger response to the new concession program featuring local brands has been extremely positive, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Delaware North."
Since Delaware North took over the food and beverage program at the Boise Airport in 2014 the airport has been a finalist for multiple industry awards including "best concession program design" and "best airport restaurant design".
"It has been a wonderful experience working with the Boise Airport and the local brands," said Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North travel hospitality business. "We look forward to many more years of bringing the best of Boise to air travelers."
Branding and decorations for Big City Coffee will be taken down the night of Sunday, March 6. River City Coffee will begin operating the morning of Monday, March 7. Renovations including branding and décor modifications will take place at night over the next couple of weeks.
