Technology Company Jelli Expands Operations in Downtown Boise
New office brings digital technology career opportunities to the Treasure Valley
Jelli, a technology firm based in San Mateo, announced the significant expansion of its customer success and marketing operations located in its new downtown Boise office. Founded in 2009, Jelli is the technology that powers programmatic platforms for the $40B global radio industry. New offices in Boise and New York City will accommodate the company’s recently announced growth of more than 266% percent in gross media spend executed on their platform.
“Ultimately, the Boise-based office will include other core Jelli functions, and the people we’ve hired already demonstrate the company’s innovative, passionate, diverse, and customer-centric culture," said Mike Dougherty, Jelli co-founder and chief executive officer. "Boise is the ideal market for us. We selected the Mountain West due to the area’s diverse talent pool, access to major universities, close proximity to our Silicon Valley headquarters, and because doing business in Idaho is significantly easier.”
Jelli is already actively engaged in the local community: exploring potential Boise State internships, holding presentations to Boise State’s Computer Science classes on “Tech Entrepreneurship” as its CEO Dougherty recently did, and holding a recruiting event on-campus ahead of its new office opening introducing itself to current and potential employees.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Jelli’s addition to downtown Boise,” said Boise Mayor David Bieter. “This great company will help create an even richer culture of innovation along our 8th Street corridor and continue to spur the growth of good jobs in Boise.”
“Idaho’s technology sector is an area of opportunity for our state to remain competitive nationally, and Jelli’s commitment to helping build that industry is going to be huge asset to us,” said Megan Ronk, director of Idaho Commerce. The state department worked closely with the City of Boise and Boise Valley Economic Partnership to help bring this project to the Boise metro area.
The Idaho Economic Advisory Council approved Jelli to receive a Tax Reimbursement Incentive (TRI) of 20% for eight years.
