The Best Farm-to-Table Restaurant in Every State

According to Travel + Leasure, Idaho's Best Farm-to-Table Restaurant is Juniper.

A perfect day in Boise isn’t complete without a bike ride on the Ridge to Rivers Trail System, a turn through the Boise Art Museum, and a meal at newcomer Juniper, which has quickly become a favorite for locals like Boise Food Guild blogger Bob Young. Chef Aaron puts Idaho on a pedestal, working closely with local farmers, growers, winemakers, and brewers throughout the Gem State, but it’s the restaurant’s funky personality that continues to dazzle diners. As a locally spirited gastropub, speakeasy, live music hall, and gin joint, Juniper is like one great love story about Idaho that never gets tired of being told. Pop in on any Wednesday to Saturday to try the $48 five-course dinner at the Chef’s Table.

Brick 29 Chef Plans New Restaurant Space in Nampa

Chef Dustan Bristol’s Brick 29 restaurant in Nampa is moving up.

Bristol recently purchased part of the building where his restaurant is currently and plans to add a third floor to the structure. Once that is finished, he will move his acclaimed restaurant upstairs and into the new space.

The third floor will have better acoustics and a better flow for the restaurant. Those are things Bristol wanted to improve in his first restaurant, which can get loud, he said.

He also plans to have large windows that open for a patio feel in the new space.

The new space will have an expanded kitchen, which means Bristol can also expand his menu.

New Farm-to-Table Fine-Dining Restaurant to Open in Eagle this Weekend

Le Coq d’Or describes itself as “Idaho’s first farm-to-table fine European dining experience.”

That’s a mouthful, even for a restaurant.

But the concept behind the intriguing newcomer at 176 S. Rosebud Lane in Eagle really  is that carefully considered — and ambitious. Grand yet cozy, the restaurant seats 66. It’s housed inside the upscale Chateau des Fleurs, a 21,000-square-foot event center next to the headquarters of cosmetics and body-care products company Camille Beckman.

Le Coq d’Or is about savoring the moment, says Roshan Roghani, vice-president of Camille Beckman.

“Our intention is to create a memorable experience where guests can slow down, enjoy their evening and be present in the celebration of life,” she says.
