Bringing World-Class Skateboarding to Boise

If four wheels on a skateboard are more of your thing, then there is good news for you in Boise. A Boise city park is set to be reborn as a premier Northwest skateboarding destination. The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation has announced a partnership with the Boise Skateboard Association to turn the city’s Rhodes Park, located adjacent to Boise’s downtown, into a skater’s mecca. The plans, developed in conjunction with the City of Boise, include more than an acre of covered concrete skateable terrain. Designed by world-renowned Grindline Skateparks, the park will provide a place for Boise skaters of all ages and skating abilities to skate, socialize and relax.
